The Québec Associaton of Post-secondary Students with Disabilities is a non-profit organization set up April 20th 1991 by people with disabilties, with the support of the Confédération des organismes provinciaux de personnes handicapées du Québec (COPHAN). The organization was born out of striking necessity, on both the parts of students with functional limitations and their key informants in post-secondary institutions.
The CAMO for people with disabilities is a provincial Committee that develops policies and tools to ensure that persons with disabilities have access to employment and training necessary for their integration in the labour market.
As a center of specialized rehabilitation, Institute Nazareth and Louis-Braille (INLB) has for missions to develop self-reliance and to promote integration and social involment of persons with visual impairments, living on the territories of the Montérégie, Montreal and Laval regions, making available to everyone, at any stage of the life, services adapted to their needs and their environment conditions.
By his academic section, the Institute contributes to the development of training, teaching and research as well as the evaluation of the modes of intervention and the technologies in visual impairment.
